Since 1997, Fundamentals has helped more than 100 organizations grow and diversify.  We understand that the philanthropic landscape is constantly evolving. However, the fundamentals of fundraising remain the same. Our expertise lies in building and managing fund development strategies and programs for individual giving and foundation grants. We also support organizations in planning for the future by writing cases for support, marketing communications and creating practical strategic plans.

Peter Hoppe is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE)  with over 30 years of experience in the charitable sector.  Before establishing his fundraising agency in 1995, Peter held senior leadership positions at several major organizations, including the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Cystic Fibrosis Canada, and Canadian Feed The Children (Kinvia).  

Peter also taught graduate-level courses on philanthropic trends, fund development strategies and social enterprises at Humber Polytechnic and Seneca Polytechnic. He makes a point of staying in touch with former students and young professionals. This strategy keeps Fundamentals young in spirit and on top of its game! 

Peter is well-connected in the charitable sector. He has served on several Boards of Directors and is dedicated to advancing the fundraising profession.
